Why This Initiative Matters
As communities grapple with the challenges of gentrification, the Lockwood Legends Initiative offers a unique approach by using three diverse artists to explore new ways of expression, interaction, and communication across the entire community.
Located in a neighborhood once labeled as one of America’s most dangerous in the early 2000s—plagued by crime, drugs, and prostitution—this historic Lockwood home has long served as a safe haven for the transient population.

Community Dream Builders is committed to making this initiative a welcoming space for everyone, setting an example for other communities by leveraging innovative technologies. The Lockwood Legends Initiative will feature programming and events designed to foster meaningful conversations among individuals from diverse backgrounds and perspectives.
